SELF-ADJUSTING VICE JAW, MULTI PART VICE JAW, MULTIPLE PART CLAMPING
SM Workholding Ltd. designs, builds and services the SolidMax Workholding System which adapts directly to a 4" or 6" standard single
or double milling vise for the purpose of uniformly clamping the non-uniform surface of a contoured part or for the purpose
of uniformly clamping multiple parts by permitting up to 0.060" variation at each point of contact, including the following:
- Standard, special and custom self-adjusting jaw for multi-part clamping
- Standard, special and custom self-adjusting jaw for contoured part clamping in hydraulic or mechanical vices
- SolidMax MECHANICAL self-adjusting jaw for any standard milling vise
- SolidMax Workholding System adapts directly to a standard milling vise
- SolidMax Workholding System is for production of multiple part loads
- The vise solid jaw is replaced by a Single or Double V-block jaw and the vise movable jaw is replaced by a SolidMax jaw
- The SolidMax plungers compensate for variations in the size of parts by utilizing a MECHANICAL channel which equalizes the clamping pressure of the plungers
- SolidMax reduces broken tools by securely holding multiple parts
- SolidMax reduces the need for many dedicated fixtures in multi part clamping
- SolidMax System is available in four, five, six, or eight plunger configuration for multi part clamping
- SolidMax Workholding System is for machining of large parts with uneven and contoured surface such as casting, forging
- With the addition of plunger extensions, SolidMax can clamp most large contoured surface parts
